I'm undecided on how I am going to paint my hood...

Option one is to leave it, just clear coat it to protect it from the sun.

Option two is to paint it to match the car.

Option three is to mask off the ZC hump and paint the rest of it to match the car.

I kind of like the way it looks now, but it is a bit ricey. I like option three because it still shows off the carbon, but I'm not sure how it will look... Please post pics if you've got them, I'd like to see some examples; especially of the third option, I'm sure it's been done on other cars before.

it would look kinda like the 5150 mugen wing that Funkmaster put on his crx, here is a pict (although it is blue)

I voted for leaving the ZC bump unpainted.
Ive gotten quite a few compliments on how the wing looks with the CF stripe unpainted.

i love the way it looks now, but i would paint it but the bump if i had it on my hatch.. or not even, just a triangle on the front corner. kinda "bimmer-ish"..

I saw a carbon-fiber hood painted with a candy-pearl type clear coat. It gave the hood a rose colored like tint to it. It looked great in the sunlight. -Bill

.....I honestly thing you should leave it as it is

Don't paint it, CF is teh coolness! If I had a CF hood, I wouldn't hide it under paint.

I think it looks awesome just the way it is!!

I`m going to clear coat mine, just to protect it a bit:)

a candy red clear is also an excellent idea, but probaby even ricey-er than plain CF.

When I bought mine I had every intention of paining it, like you I felt it was a bit ricey but it has been growing on me. I had planned on masking off a Honda emblem on the front (like the stock emblem) and painting the rest but I just can't bring my self to do it, it's just too sexy of a hood.

I think what ever you do it will look great, I would say option 1 or 3.

paint it and leave the "hump" carbon.

I'm kind of suprised by the results so far. I wouldn't say there is a clear winner though, the votes are pretty divided. I'm leaning towards masking off the hump right now though...
