Has anyone tried to mod the front end of a 1st gen to the front end of a second gen or something like that? so that we can do away with the wonderful header that always breaks?

I only get 23 or so sometimes what you gys think is the problem? Is it because i removed the vaccuum lines or do you think that my carb is messed up? i think that the friggen Mixture Control solinoid is messed up big time

According to the Chiltons i just got the 3rd gen civic si has the same engine as the crx si so if i go to the junk yard and find a 3rd gen civic si head in good condition it is the same thing right?

I'm thinking of doing this because i think i have a bent valve in the head i have currently....before i got the car the head gasket was replaced because the timing belt snapped well they said they only replaced ONE VALVE now i thought about this and two pistons rise at the same time so chances of just one valve bending is slim i think they missed one valve so i'm thinking of just getting an SI head and bolting that on to see if it's different what do you think?

What the hell is wrong with the blasted car i cannot get over 5000RPMs in first and lower rpms in higher gears. I have made sure my advance is working and my secondary is also working if not opening up alot? not sure if it's supposed to or not. i have already changed the one fuel filter near the carb, the air filter but not the one in the rear anyone have any clue
